Not every restaurant has a story worth telling. This one does.

Chef Chen grew up in Hebei, China, where cooking wasn’t a career choice — it was a family inheritance. His father ran a restaurant. His father’s father did too. The kitchen was never just a place to make food; it was where the family showed people they mattered.

That tradition followed Chef Chen as he traveled — through Taiwan, through the kitchens of Queens, New York, and eventually to Southern California — carrying with him recipes refined over decades and a stubborn belief that great Chinese food belongs on everyone’s table.
